xargs (GNU version) supports parallellism, xjobs (from Solaris but portable) does a better job of isolating output.

I encounter the same issue: error 500 after high load. I've tried almost every one tip that I found at the internet to make max-procs bigger and childs lower, but it did not help. Now I will try this spawn-fcgi and hope to be a one lucky bastard. Thank you in advance!

@Shane, yes btrfs detected it ran on SSD disk and enabled ssd mode (from some version you don't need to pass -o ssd).

@Philipe: this may be possible, but we should stick to AS protocol, which tells to send tracks after they were played (and only if they were played for at least 30 seconds). To notify the service about songs being played, you can use "now playing".

Is it possible somehow to fix the sourcecode and recompile LASTFM scrobbler so it could scrobble everyplayed song after 1-2 seconds of playback? I want to do such hack, but still am not able. Want to help?

There are people that use vim as a general tool to do anything, not only as a text editor but even though I'm a vim user, in general I use Tab more often than Escape.

I think for typists (especially Vim-addicted hackers) mapping Caps Lock to Escape key is much more beneficial as it's less accessible in standard keyboard. But just my opinion and I'm a Vim addict. :D
